What we are doing:
The Ambassador Bridge Gateway Project is a $170 million reconstruction of a 1.5-mile stretch of north- and southbound I-75 in southwest Detroit, adjacent to the Ambassador Bridge.
The project limits extend between Clark Street (Exit 47A) and Rosa Parks Boulevard (Exit 49) in the city of Detroit.
Project includes repair to 24 bridges, as well as the creation of direct freeway access from I-75/I-96 to the Ambassador Bridge. The project is essential to meeting projected increased volumes of traffic crossing the Ambassador Bridge and improving safety and mobility on area freeways.
