Start: January 2008 End: May 2009
How traffic is affected:
During both stages, there will be weekend and overnight total closures to ensure safety during bridge demolition work.
What we are doing:
A $30 million investment to restore 24 bridges above I-75 in downtown Detroit.
The project extends between the I-375 interchange and M-8 (Davison Freeway) interchange in the cities of Detroit and Highland Park in Wayne County.
These overpasses have deteriorated to the point that major rehabilitation is the most cost effective fix and is necessary to ensure the safety of the motoring public.
