Vehicle Noise Enforcement Training Program

This training program certifies law enforcement officers in vehicle noise enforcement and may be useful for communities concerned about loud-vehicles.

Course topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Fundamentals of acoustics
  • Michigan Vehicle Code
  • Sound Level Instrumentation
  • Field Operations.

    Training Sessions for Small Groups are held at the:
    Michigan Department of Transportation,
    Construction and Technology Building
    8885 Ricks Road
    Lansing MI, 48917

    Training Sessions for Large Groups are held at Local Police Posts.

    Course Length: Approximately 4-6 hours
    Cost: Free
