Public Involvement

Public involvement is an essential and integral part of this study. By viewing this Web site and attending public meetings you can remain informed and provide important input into the planning process that will help MDOT and the Federal Highway Administration determine the preferred alternative. Besides helpful information contained in this Web site, periodic open forum-style meetings will provide information on the ideas generated to date, including graphics, charts, etc., and allow attendees to express ideas and concerns to the study team. Comment cards, E-mail, phone number, Web site and other public involvement components will be used throughtout the entire process.

Public Meeting Schedule

A Public Hearing on this study is scheduled for Thursday, January 5, 2006 at the Georgetown Charter Township Offices, 1515 Baldwin St., Jenison, a handicapped accessible facility. To facilitate participation for those in the project area, the public hearing will take place continuously from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. The deadline for submitting comments to be included in the official hearing transcript is January 20, 2006.
