1. How do I make a request to purchase or obtain an easement for part of an MDOT-owned railroad corridor?

Answer: A request to purchase land or an easement on MDOT-owned railroad property can be made by submitting either a written request, or a Request to use MDOT Controlled Railroad Property  PDF icon. All such requests should include a detailed description of the requested acquisition or easement area.
