System Profile 

Shiawassee Area Transportation Agency (SATA) started operations in January of 2000. SATA was formed under Act 7 by the communities of Owosso, Corunna, Perry, Durand, and the Shiawassee Regional Educational Service District (RESD). The system started with a consolidation of vehicles from several private and public agencies. Curb-to-curb demand-response service is provided within Shiawassee County. Also, limited service is available for out-of-county educational/medical/employment/training appointments for senior and ADA-disabled county residents.
