    System Profile 
    Benzie County, located in northwestern lower Michigan initiated county wide on demand service on January 2, 2007.  The Benzie Transportation Authority (The Benzie Bus) is an Act 198 transit system that operates in a service area of approximately 316 square miles, with connecting transit service to our neighbors in Grand Traverse, Leelanau and Manistee county. Flex routes operate between the City of Frankfort and the Benzie Bus Station simultaneously with stops in Benzonia, Beulah and Honor between the hours of 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Utilizing a fleet that primarily uses clean diesel and LP fuel, the Benzie Bus prides itself in our customer service and quality staff.  The agency has a dedicated transportation millage of .5 to support public transportation services.
