MDOT Suspends Construction for July Fourth Holiday

Upper Peninsula Northern Lower Michigan West Michigan SW Michigan Central Michigan Central Michigan Metro Detroit South Michigan Northern Lower Michigan To help make holiday travel more convenient, the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is lifting traffic restrictions during the July Fourth Holiday weekend.

Beginning at 3 p.m. Thursday, July 3, and continuing until 6 a.m. Monday, July 7, 110 of 145 projects statewide will have lane restrictions removed. While construction zones may be closed for the weekend, motorists are advised that equipment and temporary traffic configurations, like minor shifts, may remain in place, requiring motorists to adjust their speed and pay attention.
