The Bridge View Park is located west of the toll plaza in Moran Township. This $1.3 million project includes an observation building, paved access roads, a walking path, picnic areas, trees and landscaped areas containing flowers and shrubs. Accessible from the Upper Peninsula, the Bridge View Park is constructed on approximately eight acres of shoreline managed by the Mackinac Bridge Authority. The contractor for the project, CCMS Associates from Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, began working on the project in early May. The park will be dedicated on June 12, 2002. The bridge viewing area has been a popular place for people to visit and enjoy the Mackinac Bridge. These improvements will provide a beautiful setting for the public to experience the spectacular view of the Mackinac Bridge and the Straits area.
