29International Bridge model contest winner built his entry "with love" October 29, 2012 -- As 8-year-old Jacob Balgue and his grandmother, Marian Wood, crossed the Sault Ste. Marie International Bridge one day, the toll attendant asked if he might want to build a model of the bridge for its 50th anniversary.

24Sault Ste. Marie International Bridge 50th anniversary day celebrations October 24, 2012 -- Oct. 31, 2012, marks the 50th anniversary of public use of the Sault Ste. Marie International Bridge, and bridge staff and authority board members have tried to design a day of celebration with something for everyone.
24Plaque unveiling to commemorate bridge anniversary October 24, 2012 -- Celebration of the Sault Ste. Marie International Bridge's 50th anniversary of opening to traffic will include a luncheon and plaque unveiling Oct. 31 at Lake Superior State University (LSSU).<
