PROJECT: The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be closing the rest area on eastbound I-196 at Zeeland for reconstruction of a new rest area building, parking area, and highway ramps.

TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS: The rest area will be closed. Intermittent single-lane and shoulder closures on eastbound I-196 will be necessary for replacement of the ramps and parking area.

CUSTOMER BENEFITS: This $3.6 million project will provide updated facilities for Michigan motorists and visitors.
