January 25, 2012 -- The International Bridge Administration (IBA) is one of five nominees for the Sault Area Chamber of Commerce's F.M. Mansfield Business of the Year Award, noting its contributions to the community.

"What an honor to be nominated for a prestigious award named for a long-serving community advocate, past bridge authority board member, dear friend, and mentor, F. M. 'Bud' Mansfield," said IBA General Manager Phil Becker.

Mansfield passed away in April 2010.

According to chamber Executive Director Allan Case, nominees are selected by fellow chamber businesses and "represent the best and brightest of our business community." Nominees were chosen based on commitments of time, talents and resources, with track records of community support, civic participation, and charitable contribution.

Voting by chamber members will continue through Feb. 9. The award will be presented at the Sault Area Chamber of Commerce 123rd Annual Meeting and Awards Banquet on Feb. 16 at Kewadin Casino in Sault Ste Marie.
