PROJECT: As part of the M-43/Saginaw Street bridge replacement project over the Grand River, the city of Lansing's River Trail is now closed at the bridge.
Work to replace the bridge is expected to begin in early March, with eastbound M-43 closed during construction. More information on the project is available at: www.michigan.gov/m-43saginawstreet.
DETOUR ROUTE: While the River Trail is closed, a detour is posted directing trail users to Saginaw Street, east to Cedar Street, then back to the Grand River.
The River Trail, near Saginaw Street, will remain closed during construction.
MDOT reminds drivers: Snowplows need room to groom.
