February 6, 2012 -- The Michigan Department of Transportation's (MDOT) Port Huron Transportation Service Center (TSC) will be relocated to Sterling Heights and merged with the Macomb TSC on Monday, Feb. 13. The resulting new office will be named the Macomb-St. Clair TSC.

The relocation is part of a department-wide consolidation announced in June 2011 that will result in the closing of eight MDOT facilities statewide, saving an estimated $300,000 annually. MDOT's workforce has been reduced by 15 percent or 450 positions.

The Macomb-St. Clair TSC will continue to serve Macomb and St. Clair counties. At this time, the combined offices will be located at:

38257 Mound Road
Sterling Heights, MI 48310

The Macomb-St. Clair TSC can be reached by phone at 586-978-1935.
