PROJECT:                           
The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will invest $326,000 to temporarily widen 1.2 miles of M-72 from Baggs Road to McNulty Hill Road in Kalkaska County. This widening will be used to maintain traffic during next year's planned reconstruction of M-72 from Kalkaska to the Kalkaska/Grand Traverse county line.

TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS:                    
This work will require traffic shifts. Work is scheduled for Monday through Friday, though some work on Saturdays is possible.

SAFETY FEATURES:                   
This project will allow for the safe maintenance of traffic during next year's construction project, with fewer lane closures under flag control.
