MDOT hosts public meeting Dec. 11 in Cheboygan for US-23 bridge project

WHAT: The Michigan Department of Transportation will hold a public information meeting to review and discuss plans to rehabilitate the drawbridge on US-23 (State Street) over the Cheboygan River.

BACKGROUND: MDOT will rehabilitate the drawbridge on US-23 over the Cheboygan River.
Work is expected to begin in January 2004 and should be completed in July 2004.
Traffic will be maintained with a temporary traffic signal. Access to local businesses will be available at all times during the project.
MDOT representatives will be on hand from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. A brief overview of the project will be presented followed by an informal one-on-one question and answer session.
