I-75 Improvements, Ogemaw Co

What Is Being Done?

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be repairing 6.5 miles of I-75 from Cook Road in West Branch to the Ogemaw/ Arenac county line. This project will include reconstructing the northbound exit and southbound entrance ramps at Cook Road, as well as the West Branch Rest Area entrance and exit ramps and truck parking lot.

How Will Traffic Be Affected?

For the first half of construction, northbound I-75 will be reduced to one lane, except at peak traffic times. For the second half of construction, southbound I-75 will be reduced to one lane, except at peak traffic times. The northbound exit ramp at Cook Road will have nighttime (9 p.m. - 9 a.m.) closures prior to Memorial Day. During those closures, traffic will be detoured to M-55 (Exit 215). The West Branch Rest Area will be closed a maximum of 45 days; it will be open between June 22 and Labor Day.

Access to businesses and residences will be accommodated at all times.
