    I-75, Zilwaukee Bridge

    Start: October 2012      End: April 2015
    What we are doing:

    The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is reconstructing 4 miles of I-75, as well as replacing bearing pads on the Zilwaukee Bridge.
    Work on this $70 million investment includes:

    • Reconstructing I-75 between the north and south junctions of I-675.
    • Replacing the Janes Road bridge and repairing the Wadsworth Road and CSX Railroad bridges.

    • Northbound I-75 to remain open through October in Saginaw County To accommodate an accelerated construction schedule, the twice-per-week traffic shifts that alternated I-75 northbound and southbound detours to I-675 in Saginaw County will end.

    • 2013 Labor Day Schedule August 27, 2013 - Update

    • I-75/M-81 nighttime ramp closures scheduled to begin Saturday, July 13 Crews will make storm sewer upgrades at the I-75/M-81 interchange. The ramp closures are necessary as part of an ongoing project to reconstruct southbound I-75 in Saginaw County.

    • I-75 traffic shift to occur this weekend in Saginaw County Construction on I-75 is expected to cause minimal delays for southbound travelers this weekend.

    • Southbound I-75 holiday travelers advised to seek alternate route through Saginaw County Construction on I-75 is expected to cause long delays for southbound travelers over the
    Memorial Day weekend.
