MDOT provided the public with notices of proposed changes to the non-radioactive hazardous materials (NRHM) routing designations for four routes located in Wayne county, Michigan. An extended comment period occurred between Dec. 20m 2012, and May 27, 2013, and included a requested public hearing held April 28, 2013, in Detroit.
The report addressed proposed changes to the non-radioactive hazardous materials (NRHM) routing designations for four hazardous materials routes located in Wayne County, Michigan. MDOT is the authorized agency responsible for all NRHM routing designations and restrictions or requirements in the State of Michigan. The synopsis report provides an overview of the process to consider a change and sets forth proposed recommendations for changes to existing restrictions or requirements impacting the four routes.
Public Hearing and Comments:
An information packet containing documents relating to public involvement and outreach in the review process, including transcripts from the April 25, 2013 public hearing (and all exhibits and documents presented during the hearing or submitted for the record), and written public comments received from Dec. 20, 2012 through May 27, 2013, may be ordered from MDOT Publications. Prepayment of $16 is required, publication #115. The document also is available for public review through at least July 26, 2013 at the review sites listed in the legal notice.
