Hazardous Materials Routing Synopsis Report-Wayne County

NOTICE: MDOT has extended the period for public comment on this report through May 27, 2013,  to allow time for a requested public hearing held April 28 at the Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Hall in Detroit.

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is providing the public with notice of proposed changes to the non-radioactive hazardous materials (NRHM) routing designations for four routes located in Wayne County, Michigan.

The report addresses proposed changes to the non-radioactive hazardous materials (NRHM) routing designations for four hazardous materials routes located in Wayne County, Michigan. MDOT is the authorized agency responsible for all NRHM routing designations and restrictions or requirements in the State of Michigan. The synopsis report provides an overview of the process to consider a change and sets forth proposed recommendations for changes to existing restrictions or requirements impacting the four routes.
