Title VI - MDOT Responsibilities Under TITLE VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964
Title VI MissionTo ensure equity and Title VI compliance in MDOT activities.

What is Title VI? Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (42 U.S.C. 200d), related statutes and regulations provide that no person shall on the ground of race, color, national origin, gender, or disabilities be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal funds.

The Heart of Title VI "No person in the United States shall, on the grounds of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving federal financial assistance."
