Ron Boji, Commissioner
Commissioner Ron Boji, (R) of Orchard Lake, was appointed by Gov. Rick Snyder effective October 17, 2013, to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Commissioner Sharon Rothwell.
Mr. Boji is president of the Boji Group. As one of its owners, he is primarily responsible for the management, development and leasing of space in the company's real estate portfolio. He also is involved in managing the financial aspects of the Boji Group's related entities in distribution and wholesale services, convenience stores, retail, fuel and the hospitality industry. Prior to forming the Boji Group, he played a leadership role in the mid-Michigan computer industry as a representative of large computer hardware and software firms.
Mr. Boji is an active participant in his community. His previous appointments include the Michigan Strategic Fund Board, the Advisory Board on Arab and Chaldean American Affairs, the Michigan Center for Innovation and Reinvention Board, and the board of directors of the Children's Trust Fund. He also has served on the parish council of the Mother of God Chaldean Church in Southfield, and is a past member of the board of directors of the Michigan Chamber of Commerce, the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce, and the YMCA of Metropolitan Lansing. In September 2005, he was recognized by Crain's Detroit Business as one of its influential "40 under 40" honorees. Mr. Boji holds a bachelor's degree in building construction management from Michigan State University.
Mr. Boji's current term will expire December 21, 2020.
