MDOT periodically licenses, leases or sells real estate it deems no longer needed for transportation purposes, through a sealed-bid sale, auction sale, or over-the-counter sale.
Online Auction Sale
The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is expanding the way it sells excess real estate to include online auctions. Thru Bidcorp.com, MDOT will post property from around the state that is no longer necessary for transportation purposes. To ensure access to MDOT's online real estate auctions, interested individuals will need to register at http://bidcorp.com/. Step-by-step instructions for registering and signing up for auction notifications are available. Online auctions are expected to begin in mid-March.

Parcels/Tracts placed on Over-the-Counter (OTC) are available at the full bid price. You must submit the following information to the address below:

Full bid price. Payments should be made payable to the State of Michigan in the form of a Certified/Cashier's Check, Personal Check or Money Order.
Priority will be given in order of receipt when submitted with the above information. Failure to provide the above information will result in your request being returned. MDOT reserves the right to refuse any and all offers.
