Task Force D: Enhancing Agricultural Viability

Task Force D will focus on economically and environmentally strengthening the state's agricultural system and expanding upon the state's agricultural diversity.

Task Force D Chair: Dennis West
 
Task Force D Recommendations:
1) Preserve a significant acreage of Michigan farmland
2) Encourage new opportunities for niche and value-added markets
3) Increase Michigan agricultural viability
4) Expand and stabilize the Michigan farm workforce
5) Improve and expand the role of Michigan State University Extension
