Governor Granholm Issues Executive Order Number 2009-45

Effective January 17, 2010,  all of the authority, powers, duties, functions, records, personnel, property, unexpended balances of appropriations, allocations, or other funds of the Office of Racing Commissioner (ORC) have been "abolished" by Governor Granholm's Executive Order Number 2009-45.

Furthermore, the Executive Director of the Michigan Gaming Control Board shall perform all the functions and exercise the powers of the Racing Commissioner, including but not limited to, possessing the final authority over contested cases, licensing and rule promulgation.

You will find all Michigan Horse Racing information on the Michigan Gaming Control Board website as a new part of the Michigan Gaming Control Board agency.
