The Commission was created in September 1994, and concluded its work in April 1995 with the submission of a report to Governor John Engler. The Governor's Blue Ribbon Commission on Michigan Gaming was created by Governor John Engler by executive order on September 8, 1994, to assess the issue of expansion of gaming in the state.
