PA 69 of 1997 (MCL 432.201) - Casino Licensing - Provides for the licensing and regulation of casino gaming operation, manufacturers, and distributors of gaming.

 

PA 70 of 1997 - Compulsive Gamblers - Provides for an outreach program for compulsive gamblers.

 

PA 71 of 1997 - Casino Contributions - Regulates campaign contributions from individuals or entities associated with casino gambling.

 

PA 72 of 1997 - Gaming Fund - Deposits into the casino gaming fund a percentage of state lottery fund.

 

PA 73 of 1997 - Equine Industry - Deposits into the compulsive gaming prevention fund a percentage of the Michigan agriculture equine industry development fund.

 

PA 74 of 1997 - Casino Registration - Creates the casino interest registration act.

 

PA 75 of 1997 - Racketeering - Amends the definition of "specified criminal offense" to include gaming in determining RICO violations.

 

PA 239 of 1998 - Gaming, Economic and Industrial Development - Casinos located in a renaissance zone are not eligible for tax exemptions, deduction, or credit listed in the Michigan Renaissance Zone Act.

 

PA 241 of 1998 - Gaming, Public-utilities Income Tax - Casinos located in a renaissance zone are excluded from the tax exemptions allowed under the City Utility Users Tax Act for public utility services provided in a renaissance zone.

 

PA 242 of 1998 - Gaming, Economic and Industrial Development - Casinos are excluded from the tax exemption allowed under the Enterprise Zone Act for property located in a renaissance zone.

 

PA 243 of 1998 - Gaming, Economic and Industrial Development - Casinos located in a renaissance zone are not included in the Commercial Redevelopment Act and are not exempt from the general property tax and subject to the commercial facilities tax.

 

PA 244 of 1998 - Gaming, Taxation - Casinos located in a renaissance zone are excluded from the tax exemption allowed under the Act for real property located in a renaissance zone.

 

PA 308 of 2000 - Taxation; administration - Allows the Executive Director of the MGCB to disclose monthly revenues and taxes paid by Detroit casino.
