Casino Operations - November 2011

 

Aggregate revenue for all three Detroit casinos for the month of November 2011 was up by 3.3% compared to the same month last year. However revenue was down by 0.4% when compared to the previous month, October 2011.

 

Revenue for MGM, MotorCity, and Greektown was up by 2.7% to $49 million, 1.5% to $37.7 million, and 7% to $28.4 million, respectively, compared to the same month in 2010. 

 

The market shares for MGM, MotorCity, and Greektown for the month of November 2011 were 42%, 33%, and 25%, respectively.

 

Today's meeting also marked the last meeting of Board Chair Barbara Rom.  Ms. Rom has been a member of the Board since 2004 and will be retiring from her unpaid position effective December 31, 2011.  Ms. Rom received Board Resolution 2011-01 honoring her many years of dedicated service to the Board.

 •  Aggregate revenue for all three Detroit casinos was up for March by 4.4% and April 5.4% respectively, compared to the same month last year.
 •  Detroit Casino revenues were down for February 2011 by 0.4% compared to the same month last year. Revenues were also down by .49% in comparison to January 2011.
