The State of Michigan is aware of the types of recovery-oriented services that individuals and families try to locate after emergencies, regardless of where they live. Having information about social services can be so important. We have compiled useful resource links for Michigan residents. Please note that during emergencies, officials will announce telephone numbers and websites where incident-specific information will be available.
- 2-1-1 Human and Emergency Services. The Michigan Association of United Ways 2-1-1 network is available immedicately during a time of crisis, allowing authorities to channel correct information to the public. 2-1-1 Call Specialists can field questions and direct you to services most appropriate for your needs. In addition, the Call Specialists can direct you where to donate goods and/or volunteer. Simply dial the number 2-1-1 on your telephone, or visit them online for a listing of their toll-free numbers.
- Medicaid Authority.

- Housing Authority. Michigan State Housing Development Authority provides financial and technical assistance through public and private partnerships to create and preserve safe and decent affordable housing.
- Mental Health Authority. Mental Health and Developmental Disability services in Michigan are delivered through county-based community mental health services programs.
