Evacuation and Sheltering in Place

Some kinds of chemical accidents or attacks, such as a train derailment or a terrorist incident, may make staying put dangerous. In such cases, it may be safer for you to evacuate, or leave the immediate area. Look here for information on what to do if emergency officials direct you to evacuate.

• CDC Shelter-in-Place Guidance
Some kinds of chemical accidents or attacks may make going outdoors dangerous. Leaving the area might take too long or put you in harm's way. ?Shelter in place" a way for you to make the building that you are in as safe as possible to protect yourself until help arrives.
