2011 Michigan HIT Innovation & Leadership Awards
The Michigan Health Information Technology (HIT) Commission was created in Michigan law with the charge "to facilitate and promote the design, implementation, operation, and maintenance of an interoperable health care information infrastructure in this state." With this charge in mind, the HIT Commission is instituting the 2011 Health Information Technology Innovation & Leadership Awards to acknowledge and promote groundbreaking use of technology in Michigan's health care system.
The goal of the 2011 Health Information Technology Innovation & Leadership Awards is to raise awareness of the use of HIT and HIE in Michigan.
There are two types of awards: the Michigan HIT Commission Innovation Award and the Michigan HIT Commission Leadership Award. The Innovation Award is designed to recognize those professionals, organizations and facilities that are utilizing HIT and HIE throughout the State of Michigan through the HIT Innovations.
