Trees in the Environment
Imagine living in a community that did not have trees. Trees make people feel good. We also need trees to provide us with products we need like paper, pencils and books. The houses we live in are made of wood, as are many things inside our houses. We eat maple syrup with our pancakes. Even chewing gum and ice cream has ingredients that come from trees! Trees are renewable resources, which means they can grow back within our lifetime. As long as people take care of our forests and trees, and make sure they grow back naturally or by planting them, we will always have trees.
