- MDOT will begin a $2.8 million project on M-59 in Macomb County in mid-May.
- The first phase of this two-phase project starts between Ryan Road and Van Dyke Avenue during nights and weekends, with one lane always open. This phase will be completed in June.
- The second phase will begin in June between Hayes and Heydenreich roads and is expected to be completed in August.
May 9, 2014 -- The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is scheduled to begin concrete pavement repairs soon on M-59 in Macomb County. The first phase of repairs for eastbound and westbound M-59 will have construction during evenings, overnights and weekends. There will be one lane open at all times. The ramps for Mound Road may be closed at times as part of the construction. This phase is expected to be completed in June.
The second phase of M-59 construction will begin following completion of the first phase, taking place between Hayes Road and Heydenreich Road. Phase Two is expected be completed in August.
