Agency: Transportation

COUNTY:
Presque Isle

HIGHWAYS:
US-23 Business Route (BR) and M-68 (Erie Street)

CITY:
Rogers City

START DATE:
Wednesday, June 11, 2014

ESTIMATED END DATE:
October 2014

PROJECT DETAILS:
Crews are scheduled to switch the traffic signal located at the US-23 BR/M-68 intersection in Rogers City to an all-way stop for a minimum of 90 to 120 days. During this time, the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will conduct a study to reevaluate the safety and operational effectiveness of the intersection and traffic signal.

Based on the low traffic volumes at this location, there are indications that this location may function more efficiently without the traffic signal.

TRAFFIC IMPACT:
Motorists may experience short delays as the signal is reprogrammed and signs are installed.
