Snyder makes appointment, reappointment to Collection Practices Board

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of Scott Idle, of East Lansing, and the reappointment of Scott Prince, of Holland, to the Michigan Collection Practices Board.

The board was created to license and regulate collection agencies operating in Michigan.

"These appointees are experienced professionals and I look forward to the contributions they will make on the board," Snyder said.

Idle is CEO of the Mid-Michigan Collection Bureau Inc. He has experience with SPSS, a software company, and as senior account manager with ADP Inc. Idle earned a bachelor’s degree in communication arts and sciences from Michigan State University. He will represent professionals and replaces Thomas Angelo.

Prince is president and owner of Allied Business Services, a collection agency in Zeeland. He is also a reserve officer with the Holland Police Department. He previously worked as a staffing manager and recruiter for the Prince Corp. for seven years and served four years in the U.S. Marine Corps. Prince earned a degree from Western Technical College in La Crosse, Wisconsin. He will continue to represent professionals.

Members serve four-year terms expiring June 30, 2018. Their appointments are subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
