I-75 nighttime ramp closures continue this weekend in Genesee County

PROJECT DETAILS:
MDOT is continuing nighttime ramp closures this weekend to allow for milling and paving on I-75. These ramp closures are occurring at night to limit the impact on traffic and to increase safety for motorists and workers.

The overall $13.3 million investment began in April, with completion anticipated this September. Work includes resurfacing 19 miles of I-75 from the Genesee/Oakland county line to the I-475 north junction, including I-75 over Cook Road, I-75 under Grand Blanc and Fenton roads, and I-75 over the Flint River and Flushing Road. This project is weather-dependent.

TRAFFIC IMPACT:
The right lane of northbound I-75 will be closed near Pierson Road.

Work will occur at the following locations:

9 p.m. Thursday, June 26 - 6 a.m. Friday, June 27
Northbound I-75 to Pierson Road
Detour: Continue on I-75 to the Mt. Morris Road exit, then loop back around onto southbound I-75 to access Pierson Road.

9 p.m. Saturday, June 28 - 6 a.m. Sunday, June 29
Northbound I-75 to Pierson Road
Detour: Continue on I-75 to the Mt. Morris Road exit, then loop back around onto southbound I-75 to access Pierson Road.

Eastbound and westbound Pierson Road to northbound I-75
Detour: Take southbound I-75 to M-21 (Corunna Road), then loop back around and take northbound I-75.

9 p.m. Tuesday, July 1 - 6 a.m. Wednesday, July 2
Eastbound and westbound Pierson Road to northbound I-75
Detour: Take southbound I-75 to M-21 (Corunna Road), then loop back around and take northbound I-75.
