| Children with Special Needs Fund |
The mission of the Children with Special Needs Fund is to provide support for children with special health care needs not met through other public health care programs. The Fund supports unique services and programs that promote optimal health and development.
For eligible recipients, the Fund may provide partial or full funding for the following. However all requests will be considered:
Wheelchair ramps into homes
Van lifts and tie downs
Therapeutic tricycles
Air conditioners
Adaptive recreational equipment
The Children with Special Needs Fund partially sponsors the Parent Participation Program (PPP), a unit of State Government that helps families of children with special needs. The PPP is a section of the Michigan Department of Community Health's Children's Special Health Care Services (CSHCS) Plan Division. See our section on Children's Special Care Services for more information.
