Nutrition for Women, Infants & Children

MIPARENTS_InfantNutrition Your first resource for information on your baby's diet is your pediatrician. You may also refer to the Department of Community Health website for information on what to feed your baby at what age to maintain proper growth and health. You can also call
517-373-3740 for information about your baby's nutritional needs.

Breastfeeding is healthy for both mother and baby. If you are interested in breastfeeding at work, please contact your agency's Human Resource Office for information.

Another on-line resource is the Pregnancy & Newborn Health Education Center of the March of Dimes website. This resource offers information about what to expect before, during, and after pregnancy, caring for your child, breastfeeding, nutrition, and other topics and tools. There is even a special section just for dads.
