Creating Community for a Lifetime--Kent County

The Michigan Commission on Services to the Aging approved recognition to Creating Community for a Lifetime for completing an Elder-Friendly Community Assessment for Kent County. Some of the assessment strengths noted by the Community for a Lifetime review panel included the following:
  • Started with what a community should look like to get a good vision.
  • Acknowledged both the wealthy and underserved seniors in the area.
  • Well written report that is easily understood and user friendly.
  • Good collaboration of groups in the core council.
  • Next steps were included with objectives that are feasible.
