| Creating Community for a Lifetime--Kent County |
The Michigan Commission on Services to the Aging approved recognition to Creating Community for a Lifetime for completing an Elder-Friendly Community Assessment for Kent County. Some of the assessment strengths noted by the Community for a Lifetime review panel included the following:
- Started with what a community should look like to get a good vision.

Acknowledged both the wealthy and underserved seniors in the area.
- Well written report that is easily understood and user friendly.
- Good collaboration of groups in the core council.
- Next steps were included with objectives that are feasible.
