What is an Area Agency on Aging?

Answer:
Your first contact to locate services for the elderly would begin with your local area agency on aging (AAA). AAAs provide a wide range of services such as in-home services, transportation, protective services, adult daycare, legal services, health care counseling, assessment of need, and care management. Area agencies on aging also provide information and referral services to other local agencies and/or organizations as appropriate.

Use our Search for Services function to find the Area Agency on Aging nearest you.
