Our agency funds many helpful programs at the local level that allow older people to live in the comfort of their own home, in their own community, on their own terms. Think "independence, dignity, and sense of purpose"--that's what our programs are about--that's what they offer older Michigan citizens.

If you've ever had lunch at a senior center, received transportation to a doctor's appointment, or been provided relief from caregiving responsibilities, chances are you've benefited from a program we fund in your community through federal and state dollars. And we surely hope the service was to your liking and met your needs.

For over 30 years the Office of Services to the Aging has been funding programs for older citizens in every corner of the state, designing policies in their best interest, and managing a network of providers to serve them. We are proud of this history and transition of being an elder advocate in state government.
