Helping an aging parent arrange for care and/or personally providing that physical care is an extremely complicated experience on many levels. In the best of situations, it can provide a rare opportunity to be truly connected to another human being. • Services Available to Caregivers
Here at Michigan.gov/MiSeniors you can search for services and providers that assist caregivers. Caregiver services provided through the aging network allow caregivers the opportunity to work, take a break, take time for themselves, and relief from the duties of caregiving. Studies show that when caregivers receive these services, they are more satisfied with their caregiving duties, and the length of time they can be effective caregivers is increased.
