ED Issues Information on FAFSA4caster Enhancements The Department of Education has made upgrades to its federal student financial aid estimator website, FAFSA4caster. The site is available in English and Spanish at www.FederalStudentAid.ed.gov. It helps students receive their estimated Expected Family Contribution (EFC), simplifies the FAFSA process by pre-filling various questions on the form and provides assistance on next steps to apply for college admission, apply for federal student aid, and offers information on how to pay for college. | Michigan Promise Scholarship The Michigan Promise scholarship provides up to $4,000 to Michigan students who enroll at approved postsecondary institutions in Michigan and successfully complete two years of postsecondary education with a 2.5 GPA. High school graduates from the class of 2007 and beyond are eligible for the Michigan Promise. High school graduates from the class of 2006 and prior are not eligible for the Michigan Promise scholarship but may be eligible for the Michigan Merit Award. |
