Federal Student Aid is committed to assisting schools with efforts that educate students about their loan repayment obligation, encourage successful repayment, and address delinquent repayment when it occurs. By employing evaluation, prevention, and outreach activities, schools can work in advance to reduce the risk of default by their students. The U. S. Department of Education has launched a public service campaign called I'm Going: College.gov. From the college.gov Web site, students discuss their college goals and dreams and deliver the message that money is available to help pay for college. Students from across the country helped design the site that guides other students through the steps to plan and pay for college. |
