How do I apply for a student loan?

You must complete and submit the FAFSA annually in January to apply for federal student aid for college or career school and for most state and institutional aid. For first time applicants you must establish a PIN (electronic identifier) access code that allows you to process the electronic FAFSA. Apply for your PIN at www.pin.ed.gov.

Here are your options for applying:

Or

Or

  • Call 1-800-4-FED-AID and request a paper application.

For subsequent years you will receive (by e-mail or regular mail) a notice reminding you to apply.
