Although no new loans are available to student loan borrowers through the Federal Family Education Loan Program, theMichigan Guaranty Agency continues its long history of support to Michigan's students, schools, and lenders by providing outreach and default prevention assistance. MGA monitors a portfolio of over $3.1 billion in loans, advising lenders of policy changes that impact the administration of their existing FFELP loans, and assisting lenders in processing claims.
