Develop consensus siting guidelines for biomass facilities and share those guidelines with Michigan planning and zoning officials
Faculty/Student Projects
MREP welcomes the opportunity to work with faculty and students on any projects related to MREP goals. Here is a list of current biomass-related faculty/student project ideas:
- Continue biomass resource assessment. Collect and report data on specific biomass energy resources and conversion technologies.
- Identify best practices for biomass energy policy initiatives.
- Identify promising biomass markets and develop comprehensive market development plans.
- Complete technology & economic model - for significant production and use in Michigan - of plug in hybrid-electric, bio-fueled vehicles.
