MPSC Directs Detroit Edison to File Report on Its Administrative and General Expenses

The Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) today issued an order directing The Detroit Edison Company to file a report by Dec. 1 on why its administrative and general (A & G) expenses are significantly higher than levels incurred by other large electric utilities.

A & G expenses include salaries of utility officers, property insurance, outside services, as well as pensions, benefits, and miscellaneous expenses.

The MPSC is an agency within the Department of Labor & Economic Growth.
