The Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) today released a Request for Proposals (RFP) for up to $15 million in grants for low‑income energy efficiency. The deadline for proposals is 5 p.m. on Oct. 13.
“The MPSC is acting now to ensure that much-needed assistance is available to promote energy efficiency for low income residents,” said MPSC Chairman J. Peter Lark. “My fellow Commissioners and I are committed to making sure that these funds help make the homes of low‑income people more energy efficient. Those improvements will result in energy savings well into the future.”
The grants are part of the Low‑Income Energy and Efficiency Fund, which provides energy bill assistance for low‑income customers and promotes the efficient use of energy by all customer classes.
The RFP and complete instructions on how to submit a proposal are located on the MPSC’s Web site: michigan.gov/mpsc.
The MPSC is an agency within the Department of Labor & Economic Growth.
