The Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) today reconciled Aquila Networks - MGU's 2005-2006 gas cost recovery (GCR) factor.

The MPSC established that the utility accumulated a net under-recovery balance of $3,779,080. The amount approved was reduced because of imprudent gas purchases made by the utility and overrun charges.

The under-recovery will be incorporated into the utility's 2006-2007 GCR reconciliation proceeding in Case No. U-14715-R.

The MPSC is an agency within the Department of Labor & Economic Growth.
