MPSC Approves 2007-2008 Gas Cost Recovery Factor for Wisconsin Public Service Corporation

The Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) today approved a settlement agreement authorizing Wisconsin Public Service Corporation's gas cost recovery (GCR) factor for the 12-month period ending Oct. 31, 2008.

Today's order authorizes the utility to implement a base GCR factor of $0.85568 per therm for the months of November 2007 through October 2008 and notes that the company is permitted to reduce its GCR factor below the level authorized.

The company filed an application with the Commission in this case on July 31, 2007. The MPSC staff and the utility participated in the settlement agreement.

The MPSC is an agency within the Department of Labor & Economic Growth.
