MPSC Approves Settlement Agreement Implementing We Energies' 2008 Power Supply Costs

The Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) today approved a settlement agreement authorizing We Energies to implement its 2008 power supply cost recovery (PSCR) factor and plan.

The utility is authorized to implement a 2008 PSCR factor of up to 3.19 mills per kilowatt-hour (kWh) for its Michigan tariff customers and a prior year reconciliation credit of 1.08 mills per kWh for its 2007 PSCR customers.

The company filed an application with the MPSC on Sept. 28, 2007, seeking to implement its 2008 PSCR plan and factors. Participating in the settlement were We Energies, the MPSC staff, Empire Iron Mining Partnership and Tilden Mining Company L.C.
